Fun Stuff Drive

OK, I REALLY want to write about how you should sponsor a homeless PEZ dispenser so that I can rescue it at MNPEZcon 11, but the following subject seems to overrule my selfish wants.

My friend's brother has lymphoma. He was diagnosed a year ago and he's had a really rough year besides that--nasty divorce and ugly custody issues.

He was in the ER again yesterday for complications with his chemo and has been feeling really sick lately. She (his sister) wants to do something nice for him and I wonder if any of you want to help. She's asking that people shower him with cards, postcards, burned CDs, pictures, stickers -- anything fun you can send in the mail. His favorite bands are Phish, moe., and Umphrey's (probably in that order). But he also loves old-school Dead and straight-up rock n roll.

Simply a postcard is fine, too.

If you're into this idea, send me a message: michelle.rowley at gmail dotcom. She's also interested in doing this for other people if you have someone you'd like to shower with mail, let the fun begin...

(Oh, and if you'd like to sponsor a homeless PEZ disenser, you can email me about that too)

Other stuff he likes: He also likes cartoons and video games. He's been known to watch hours of Adult Swim and play hours of X-Box.
Non jambands he likes are Sonic Youth, The Replacements, Oasis, Tenacious D, old school punk, metal, basically anything that rocks.

He likes books--mostly sci-fi and/or fantasy like Robert Jordan, Harry Potter, the Dark Tower series, Lord of the Rings, etc. But also biographies about musicians, the scene, etc. I'm sure he'd love a PEZ dispenser, because who doesn't?
