One of the proudest moments of my life...
The day Hazel uttered these words: "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Much like Monty Python movies, Princess Bride is absolutely loaded with classic lines.
"Have fun storming the castle"
"Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"
One of those movies that I will almost always stop on while channel flipping, despite the numerous times I've seen it.

I just watched this movie last night with my Mother-In-Law while the boys were out trying (unsuccessfully) to put a dent in Bambi's extended family. She'd never seen it. Seems crazy! My sisters and I watched this obsessively in our junior high years, and now, in my current position as a middle school teacher it does this heart good to see the Middle Schoolers spreading the novel around like a virus. Middle schoolers reading for pleasure? Inconceivable!

My daughter spent YEARS carring her copy of this movie around. She's been able to recite almost the whole movie. Her t'ween friends thought it was sooo old and dorky until I made them watch it during asleep over. Now they all have their own copy of this classic.

Funny, we just watched the movie Kit Kittredge last night and my 7-year-old hollered, "Mom, it's the 'inconceivable' guy!" I was also very proud.

The Princess Bride is one of my all time favorite movies!
"No rhyming, I mean it... Anybody want a peanut?"

For those who haven't, read the book. Much goodness never made the movie.

"Oh, there's something I should tell you."
"Tell me."
"I am not left-handed either."

"You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

"We'll never survive."
"Nonsense. You only say that because no one ever has."
