Jerree Small and Paul Lundgren’s ground-solidifying band, the Junk Drawers, is calling it quits. After two years on the road, performing almost a dozen times at exotic locations as far away as Two Harbors, the rock and roll lifestyle has finally got the best of them.

“It’s been a very rewarding experience overall, but I’m pretty disappointed that we never got a good band photo taken,” Lundgren said. “Oh, well.”

Lundgren and Small plan to perform all five of their songs at the farewell show. There will also be solo performances, as well as a song from the Lake Superior Cacophonic Choir.

Oh how I remember that Two Harbors show! How the natives met you at the airport with leighs and traditional 17 bagpipes salute and the stretch limo that was painted with your likenesses on it. Then the concert itself with the fireworks display and the body surfing and the woman with the pill box hat passing out little umbrellas to put in your drink.

What a night that was.

Nooooooo! I loved every show I never saw you guys play! Nooooooo!

*sniff

Talk about a downer. The same day I find out you're in a band, I find out said band is breaking up. It's kind of like discovering Led Zeppelin at the same exact time John Bonham died.
Well I hope we can at least look forward to a lame money-grab reunion tour in 10 years ala The Eagles?

NOOO!And you didn't even inform your sometime percussionist, the little pirate. We'll try to make it.

Pekk, you're such a pessimist. Isn't it more like finding out John Bonham is going to die and being able to see his last show?

I'm all about the LSCC..

Cacophony rocks my clock baby...
