I know what I'm doing every Sunday night during the winter - making sport for our neighbors, and laughing at them in our turn!

After they air movies from each novel, including the 6 hour BBC "Pride and Prejudice", there's a movie on Jane's life.

I will be there with my Jane Austen action figure (complete with writing desk and quill)

Squee! I hope they're in hi-def!

I've been sooooooooo
looking forward to this since PBS made the announcement last summer. To gear up for the Complete Jane Austen, I've been checking out the JA videos/DVDs from the UMD library.

The worst? "Northanger Abbey" BBC version filmed in the late 70s/early 80s. IMO, it sucked because that novel sucks. I'll find something else to do on Jan.20th, but otherwise will be glued to the TV on Sundays.

I kinda liked Northanger Abbey when I read it in college.

I can't wait. I'm a huge Jane Austen dork, although I think you have me beat, Girl from the North Country, if you actually possess an action figure. If anyone wants to get together and watch these while drinking tea and bitching about how bad the recent Pride and Prejudice movie with Keira Knightley was, I'm in!

OOOOoooo me, me!
