Women in Construction Company will host an open house at their Eco Home in Hawk Ridge this Friday, August 3rd from 6-9pm. The house is a solar demonstration project built as an example of how to construct low-energy, high-performance homes with attention to conservation and the health of people and environment.
Live music featuring Sloe Loris, a variety of works by local artists, and wine and cheese are to be had at the FREE event.
Directions: 2809 Snowy Owl Circle. Take Superior St. to 52nd Ave. East. Travel up 52nd past 2 stop signs
until you see a dead end. Take a right on Broadwing Drive. Another right on Snowy Owl Circle and follow to the Eco Home.

I'm in construction as well, and have heard nothing but good things about this company. And believe me if there was bad stuff, I probably would have heard about it. We tend to gossip like fishwives while on break. One of the top job site coordinators from a company we do a lot of work for just left to work for Women in Construction. One of the main reasons he left was because they had so many signed contracts that he was guaranteed work for the next 18 months. Which goes to show that they must be doing something right.
