I have this bad habit of leaving jackets wherever I go. In this photo montage I'm shown wearing two jackets, probably because it was cold out and I'd already lost my winter jacket.

My brown suede jacket actually lasted until Homegrown 2006, when I left it at R.T. Quinlan's.

The hooded flannel jacket I'm wearing underneath, however, was lost shortly after Trish's photo was taken. I left it on the coat rack in a banquet room at the Holiday Inn Downtown Waterfront. I was there for the KBJR-TV staff party with my friend Margo.

The party had a luau theme which, of course, meant there was a limbo contest. I'll never forget this limbo contest, because victory was stolen from me.

In the end, it came down to me and Jason Rice, who was either a weekend, morning or 5 p.m. anchor at the time.

After both of us successfully passed under the stick at a surprisingly low level. The stick was dropped about six inches, to an impossible level. I tried and failed, and when I turned around, Rice was awarded the victory. He didn't have to pass under the impossibly low stick! They just gave him the win! And he's probably a foot shorter than me!

So, while many will look at Trish's photo slideshow and be filled with warm memories, for me it brings nothing but sorrow. It reminds me of my favorite jacket and my greatest limbo performance ever, both tragically lost.

By the way, has anyone seen a navy blue winter jacket with a black winter hat in the pocket? I think I left it at Pizza Luce last month.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Trish liked her pics. We were roommates from '99-2001 (?). One of the best roommates ever. The shot at the end of myself with the ridiculous tiger beard standing in front of the little canoe was her moving day. We packed everything into my old van and headed to St. Paul though wicked storms.
Memories.......

Trish- The pictures sent me waaaaaaay back. So much has changed. I miss N8 so bad. Come to think of it, I miss you so bad too. I would love it if "Your Duluth" would come back. I'm not so sure I like Duluth now...
