New York, New York.
V-Nick and I arrived in New York yesterday along with his Swedish friend Yufang. We are staying at a lovely apartment in Brooklyn that I found on Craigslist. The owner told us about a neighborhood Blog that we could read to find out whats happening in the 'hood so I was perusing the site and lo and behold there was a story about our building. He did tell us about the event but it was funny reading about it on a blog not much different than PDD.
Last night we went to a neighborhood bar for an event called Cringe. Once a month 20 and 30 somethings get together and read from their youthful journals. It is as awesome as you would expect (video snippit to come.) Barrett Chase and I have long wanted to start Cringe Duluth and now I really want to. It would be awesome if we could drink Brooklyn Lager as well.
Today the Empire State Building and a museum or two.

We'll be travelling to NYC later this spring and would love to hear some more of your travel ideas for the city. Have a great time!

If you guys just happen to stroll past the Church of the Transfiguration (a.k.a. the Little Church Around the Corner) at One East 29th Street (between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue), could you take about 15 seconds of video for me?
I could use it in a documentary I'm putting together.
I'll give you screen credit.
And a dollar.
Have fun!

Chinatown a.k.a. Little Italy
has a really nice restaurant that is fun and cheap. It is called 'La Mela'. (the apple)
I recommend going there.
Man I wish I was in NY.
I guess I had my chance (being there all 2 days for 2 years of graduate school. duluth drew me back)

you need to have breakfast at norma's.
i don't remember exactly where it is, aside from the fact that it's on the first floor of a hotel. i'm sure it's easiest enough to find because they have the best breakfast ever.

I keep telling Maria she should get that dog of yours drunk, but she won't do it.

If you run into my bosses while you're there, tell them I say "Hi."
Seriously, I'll give you a dollar if you'll go to where they film Good Morning America and hold up a sign that says "Perfect Duluth Day" behind Al Roker's head.

I'm a Duluth native living in NY (Upstate, not NYC). The first day I arrived in New York I saw Flavor Flav outside Port Authority. I kind of knew then I'd never be going back. Cringe sounds very entertaining.

When I go to NYC someday, I wanna see what's left of the 1964 World's Fair grounds. Maybe this spring...
