I wonder why c-freak was watching the Lawrence Welk show, are you one toke over the line? That's the only way I can watch that show...unless they have bubbles...
I think that another fact that should be explained to the few that do not know much about our history as a nation; is the fact that The Constitution of The United States is written on hemp paper(LilBush refered to it as a "God Dam piece of paper"). The other fact is that with the harvest of the hemp for rope the nations forfathers had hemp partys in the fall. I bet they were not smoking the seeds.
Lydia LOVES lawrence w. on Saturday nights...it's really the coolest thing in our house all week...unless she goes to grandmas and we dont get to watch it. SHe wonders how the black men get to be the lucky ones and tap dance all the time.
yup the Lawrence Welk show was on right before Hee-Haw One of my childhood memories was my brothers girlfriend came over too watch me while he worked and we made toasted cheese sandwiches under the broiler (to watch them brown)after that we watched Lawrence Welk for the bubbles and Hee Haw to watch loretta Lynn sing The Pill. She was a really cool babysitter and way ahead of her time as she smoked her skinny brown cigarettes on the porch-she said smoke was not good for kids
At first, I thought it was either Lady Aberlin from Mr. Roger's or the Lawrence Welk Show. Then when the music started, I thought it was "You Ain't Going Nowhere", but when they busted into that song...awesome and hilarious. Thanks for sharing that.

Yes, "a modern spiritual classic," indeed.

My kids liked the show when they were younger, too. There's something about it that appeals to 3-year-olds.

We loved this show back in the early 80s too. I think it was on right before Hee Haw and after Shimileski(spelling)Fun Time.

tamara and hazel watch lawrence welk almost every saturday. hazey likes to dance to the music, and even has a different dance for each song.

You just know that most of the musicians were holding back the laughter while they played that.
