2 Worlds - Art Show

2 Worlds Postcard.jpg

In conjunction with our feature film WHITE MAN'S WORLD (premiering next week!) we are happy to be working with a couple of fantastic local artists.

2 Worlds features the black & white photography of our own Erin McConnell. Erin's documentary style photographs were taken during production of WHITE MAN'S WORLD. This is a candid behind-the-scenes look at what happens on a 4 Track film set.

The show also includes local artist Kurt Buffalo, who brings to the show his beautiful & original Anishinabeg beadwork designs.

The opening night reception will include music by Lyz Jaakola & the Oshkii Giizhik Singers. This reception is on Friday, November 7th from 6-9pm.

Closing reception will feature a reading by renowned local author Jim Northrup. This reception is on Friday, November 21st also from 6-9pm.

The exhibition hours regularly are Saturdays & Sundays from 1-5pm. The show runs from November 7 to the 23rd.

Join us at the Washington Galleries - 315 N. Lake Ave for this fine exhibition of art & culture.

And the best part? It's all FREE!!

Damnit. One day before the event? Help us out here. Free is great. Giving people a heads up since you've obviously been planning your event for more than one day is even better.

For the love of crackers, help us help you.

And when's the premiere next week? What's that about? Where would that be at? How could I learn more?

Help us help you.

Here's a good place to start, but by no means the end: calendar [at] transistormag.com

Sorry Adam- I sent you a couple press releases in the past few weeks but I think evil gremlins are stealing my emails and they're not arriving - and THIS is how I'm finding out.

WHITE MAN'S WORLD premiere is Friday & Saturday, Nov 14 & 15 Teatro Zuccone 7 & 9pm each night. Tix $10 at the door or call 218-336-1414 - I'll post the art tomorrow.

Adam, I have to tell you, b/c I've tried to send you emails in the past promoting local author events -- your spam filter might be a little too effective. I admit it, I'm a dork who still uses AOL b/c I don't want to change my business cards and all, but I think your spam filter rejects anything from AOL. Instead of assuming people didn't send you info for your calendar, you might want to check your spam filter regularly. I do, and I'll tell you, I've found really important emails trapped there. The stories I could tell you about narrowly averted disasters b/c important emails went into my spam filter instead of in my regular box would make your hair curl.
