I haven't been on that road in years--I remember going across it a few times in the family station wagon back in the day. I was a ball of nerves the entire time.
I just wanted to add that this post inspired me to make my own trip across the ice road today...I was still a ball of nerves the whole time, just like when I was a kid, but I'm glad I went. It was beautiful out there.
