The font is all wrong, as well as the color scheme. Also, were you a little high on acid when you drew the crown? If you are going to steal a company's copyrighted logo, at least make it correct.
First, I was not trying to make an exact copy of the sign. Second, Wiener King according to my quick web search no longer exists. Third, I like the broken looking crown.
Why so hostile? I was just trying to have a little fun.
Who doesn't want to celebrate their wiener? Just in time for a late entry Valentine's Day gift. I think it's brilliant! And thanks for keeping things light. Looking forward to hitting your store soon.
I see no reason to party over a poorly rendered Wiener King logo. Come on! Look at your "W." Compare the real one to yours. Whats with all of this loopy bullshit? Its the Goddamn Wiener King, not Soul Train. Concentrate on your designs for once, geez
Copyright has nothing, NOTHING, to do with logos. It's a trademark issue. Trademark and copyright are two completely different legal issues. Copyrights are definite creations created, bought, and sold. Trademarks are registered, but are never definite. Rather, they are cloudy claims subject to usage to be claimed as "current". An "out-of-business" business not using it's trademark has little legal "right" to it's logo. Know your stuff before you speak.
“Wiener” is a simple 6 letter word. If you cannot spell it, then you have no business calling anyone such slanderous names, you dumb asses. And whats up with the threat of shoving hot dogs up my ass? I point out glaring faults in a logo design, and the best retort you idiots can come up with is to “shove hotdogs up my ass.” You people are sick bastards.
that wasn't a threat, Trendwiener, it was a come on. it's pretty funny that you can pick on someone for misspelling "wiener," but you can't properly quote someone. c-freak never said "shove hotdogs up your ass". never once. she said, "running up trendsetter's rump all soul train style." get it right, eh?
and being sick bastards has nothing to do with it, though it just might apply. rumprunning is a very common celebration of life in these parts. YMMV.
Actually I misspelled "Wiener" on purpose because I like that word and Trendsetter is more of a "Weiner/Whiner" so I felt he or she didn't deserve the appropriate sobriquet.
er, I think the "best retorts" are more along the lines of vicarious' copyright vs. trademark, and pointing out that this is a damn silly thing for you to get worked up about. As, hbh says no one has suggested you shove hot dogs up yer bum. But, you know if it'll help you unclench give it a go. I, and I suspect, no one here really cares what you do with foodstuff behind closed doors.
Beware of Design Snobs!! Starfire's a genius purveyor of humor and individual style. Important stuff, Trendsetter/Trendywiener. Try both if you have the time.

I wish you sold your shirts online at your website. I can never make it there, but an online purchase would so often be a no-brainer.

It's the Slacker in me.
Posted by: starfire | February 13, 2008 05:47 PM
wait...you've got Slacker in you, too?
imagine my dismay when I found out that it was Slacker, and not music that I had in me...
alas.

Proclaiming myself a Wiener King would likely come off sad instead of funny.
I do like it though!

I still want a Kozy Bar: Lakeside shirt. I sooooo want one. And one of these.
Couldn't ya set up a Paypay link and include shipping (like Ebay) and we could just order them?

Why the hostility? I imagine it's related to professional jealousy.
Ignore the naysayers, Scotty--he doesn't even have the guts to sign his own name.
But the others are right: get that pay-pal driven web site up and running!

Any Kozy Lakeside shirts left?

Don't try to "Wiener" your way out of this by calling me hostile. If you can't make it right, then don't make it at all.
