Holy Ship.

I thought the beginning where she says a thousand footer bottomed out was the funny part. But then it gets even better.

Because Walter J. McCarthy is a shitter, they have to plug his hole.

That was pretty awesome.

My 2 year old likes to point out "sh*ts in the yake." Guess she's not alone in her creative pronunciation!

And now I have to censor the local news from my little Parrot, I mean Hazel... *sigh* lol...

Man, that'll back up your pipes.

Awww, poor Jitterbug.

I was imagining being on the camera crew for that shoot. I'm sure they were trying hard not to crack up.

that must've been the one i let loose this morning. now i feel horrible.

You'd think they'd be in the shitter:

Comic gold.

As a side note, Colleen Mahoney, who used to report for WDIO, now reports in Albuquerque. I get the news from there and it took a little while to figure out why she looked so familiar.

Yep, it was funny alright. I'm the one who let that one slip and the one who's lucky enough to have not completely lost it on air laughing. It didn't go unnoticed by the local Marine Safety Unit of the US Coast Guard. Tuesday afternoon they presented me with an award for "making the people in town laugh and their hearts smile". It is a big white toilet seat with the Coast Guard label on it and a certificate inside when you open the cover. They threw a big shi**er reception party and all. And the ship, the Walter J. McCarthy, is the newly renamed title of their headquarter bathroom. Glad I could give you all a good laugh! Take care, Julie "Jitterbug" Pearce

I disagree with ironic1. I'm not so sure the camera crew was trying hard not to crack up.

Well, I'm glad that the Coast Guard had a sense of humor about it, too. :+) That's hilarious.

Awesome that someone found this on Youtube.com.. I was watching this episode and died laughing when she said it.. The funniest newscast I have ever seen!

I just hope the FCC doesn't have anything to say about something like that... not that i care, I thought it was hilarious, but I'd hate to see a fine come down from that little slip up. Keep up the good work Jitterbug.

BAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I'm amazed Michelle Lee kept her composure.

Kudos to Jitterbug for coming on and giving part of the backstory in such a self deprecating way - I don't really watch that station (though Michelle is an old friend of mine from Moose Lake) but now Julie's my fav!

Second kudos.

Jitterbug? More like SHITTERBUG! ha ha

I was thinking the same thing about Michelle Lee, Starfire, but I wondered then if she even had audio at that point. She could have done the handoff to Jules and then just smiled and nodded at the camera until they were out. She may not even have known until after the fact that there was a slip up.

If she did have live audio, I'm impressed at her level of self restraint.

I hate when the shitter bottoms out.

Anybody got a match? I just let loose a thousand footer.

I wonder how long before govermentattic has a FCC report about our favorite reporter, Jitterbug? Gauntlet!
