i was just given access to the beta of hulu.com and i must say it rocks. fox, nbc, sci-fi and others have their tv shows on it plus a few movies. all free. including BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!!!! i don't know if this means they'll put up the new episodes of BSG when they come out, but that's months away. they have all the new eps of the good nbc shows though (office, 30 rock) and new eps of simpsons and family guy. hundreds of snl clips too
quality is pretty good. it's a flash player like youtube, but at a higher resolution. you can even embed. this is worse than having netflix's watch instantly feature.
snl just doesn't push the envelope like it used to.

I signed up for this awhile back, but I haven't been granted access yet. Are there any limitations on platforms/operating systems?
And more importantly, do they have season 3 of BSG, which is not yet available on DVD?

they have episodes 14- 20 of season 3. not the whole eps, but i think they plan on adding them.
it's a bit glitchy right now. we've been having some lag issues and video freezing. not sure why. our download speed is around 5mb/sec. but i guess that's the reason it's in beta so they can work out the kinks. (personally, i would have liked them to use web-divx instead of flash)

sorry, that should be not the whole season. they do have the full episodes.
and to tremolite, just go to hulu.com and sign up. i signed up about 4 weeks ago and just got the confirmation last week.

Just got invited on Hulu a couple nights ago and so far it's pretty good. I put a bit of my initial reaction up on my blog.
I do think it's cool that I can watch entire Buffy and Firefly episodes. That's just the way I roll, in a Joss Whedonly direction.
