Dr. Marina Ottaway, Middle East Director of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. will present “The Changing Balance of Power in the Middle East: The Impact of the War in Iraq” onWednesday, September 26, 2007.

Ottaway’s lecture will focus on the Middle East and regional consequences stemming from the war in Iraq, particularly with respect to the balance of power in Iran. The lecture and reception (good food), which is free and open to the public, will be held in Chemistry 200, UMD, at 7 p.m.
