Lace up your skates
As you all may know by now, the World of Wheels will be closing its doors on October 1st. Never again will I win a fruit roll up for my impressive ability to hula hoop on wheels. Never again will I get yelled at for skating into the limbo stick instead of under it. But enough about me, what is going to happen to everyone else??? You know, the regulars. What else are they going to do? I can't even fathom how frustating it will be to have all those hot roller moves stored up inside with no where to display them. That can't be healthy. I for one am heading over to the World of Wheels one last time this Wednesday. Hope to see you all there, say, around 7:30?

Oh World of Wheels. The corner game, the limbo, having to turn around every time the eerie male voice told you to on Total Eclipse of the Heart. When I was in 6th grade the creepy male owner guy with the 70's mustache and fancy car kept offering "rides" home to me and my girlfriend. I never accepted but I think Melissa did...

They can't close WOW down!! It's just another piece of my Superior disappearing along with Joker's Wild, Berger Hardware, Central Jr. High. What's next? Globe News? I remember skating to Don Ho's "Tiny Bubbles" in junior high. Plus they have the best black light Star Wars mural in the area. I just feel so lost.

Bah. To me the REAL World of Wheels will always be the cheesy car show at the DECC, where when I was a youngster they would advertise things like the 'General Lee' from Dukes of Hazzard and I'd get there and the car wouldn't even be a close reproduction of the car. The number was 10 instead of 01` and the color was way off;}
