I'm so happy you finally found Freedom and Success. Not to mention a good Knob Lick. The former can by quite elusive; the latter can be found anywhere.
hope you liked the Republic...of Texas, that is...ask any dyed-in-the-wool Texan and he'll tell ya.
Most people can't handle it but where I grew up, it's pretty nice...and well...pretty. Limsetone and cedar, chapparal and rattlesnake, mesquite trees and prickly pear cactus as high as a horse's shoulder, rivers, plains and mesas...
One thing about Texas...you can't see it all in one trip. It took me 17 years.
I would have stayed but alas, I longed for more exciting adventures...

In Southern Indiana there is
a Gnaw Bone and Larry Bird's hometown of French Lick. In Kentucky there is a Beaver Lick.

Didn't this town used to be named "French" before the government forced its renaming?
