Streaks on the china, never mattered before, who cares.
All right, admit it, you all have a favorite television theme song that you remember all the words to or one that you currently secretly "dig." I want to know what it is.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Sclemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.
We're gonna do it!

The Royal Trux version of Suicide Is Painless is sublime.

Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.
God, I miss that show.

gotta say.. I enjoyed Firefly a fair bit (on DVD) but for me the theme song was the weakest part.

Hey! Who misses the Enterprise theme song?
That's what I thought. There's a cringefest of a theme song for you.

here we are, face to face
a couple of silver spoons
hoping to find, we're two of a kind
making it grow, making show..
together, we're gonna find our way.

okay. I can't believe I'm admiting this to you all, but that "I'm no superman" theme to Scrubs always makes me happy.
But I never knew how much the "Sesame Street" theme song meant to me until they tried-out a rap version in the 90s. I, like many others, was OUTRAGED!

The theme song from Sanford & Son.

Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.
Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.
Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.
Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

Nice one, in.dog...
Can't really remember how it goes, but from the same period I remember liking the theme to Barney Miller.

The Greatest American Hero:
"Beee-lieve it or not
I'm walkin on air
I never thought I could feel so free-eee-ee!"
I'd like to hear someone do a melancholy cover of this, just for fun.

Partridge Family.
"C'mon get happy."
Sort of an aside - did anybody notice that at first, Studio 60 was using the same cool music from Adult Swim, but now it's something really blah.

The Greatest American Hero is definitely my favorite of all time. A close second is "Well the world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you, may not be right for some. A man is booooorn...."
and then the themesong I used to skate around to in my basement on Friday (Saturday?) nights: "Just the good ole' boys...never meanin' no harm..."

This is not my favorite theme song, but a favorite show of mine so I know all the words.
Let the tourture begin:
"Where you lead, I will follow, Any Anywhere, that you tell me to, if you need (if you need),need me to be with you, I will follow, where you lead."
You can thank Ms. Dean for that one. And little pirates' rendition rocks.

There is really just one that beats all of these.
The opening song to The Jeffersons. I'll bet every one of you can sing that w/o so much as the first word for a hint.

Le Var Burton taught me even though the butterfly is in the sky, I can go twice as high.
Take a look, it's in a book.
