Can someone explain the difference between a 'Oops and a Whoops'?

Comments

A "w" and an "h".

WHoops is more WHimsical.
Whoops is also more associated with sound than just mistakes.

An 'oops' means you just had the wrong OOPinion.

A 'whoops' means that you need a WHOOPin'.

"Oops" is "Oops, I dropped my peanut butter sandwich on the floor."

"Whoops" is "Whoops, I guess we really screwed the pooch on this Iraq thing."

the next person who posts a picture of that asshole so i gotta gaze at his chucklenuts grinning maw owes me $50.

Oops, I did it again.
