Stanislaw Lem

Stanislaw Lem, a Polish Sci Fi writer, passed away this week. He wrote The Cyberiad, one of my favorite books ever. Solaris, one of his other books was made into a movie twice, he is probably the best sci-fi author not to write in English. During WW II he was an auto mechanic, and resistance fighter. He studied medicine, and it has been reportated his IQ was above 180.
He was 84.
