Guns Don't Kill People...

CheneyNRA.gifVice Presidents Kill People

and people in tuxes

with silly grins.

Great article on salon.com today about our zany, whacky Vice President.

What will he do next? The mind boggles.

Comments

yes...the mind does wobble, doesn't it?

As of this afternoon, the poor chap Dick shot had a heart attack...doctors said it was a direct result of getting shot in the face...

NOW...if the poor shmoe passes on as a result of his injuries, then Dick is at fault. The charge for the crime (it indeed would be a crime...) would be something like Manslaughter (I think, I need to consult with Law and Order to be sure...but won't be able to do that til after the Olympics)...which is a felony, which means Dick is shit out of luck for a job...which means we get...who for Veep? wouldn't that be Condi?

Hasn't anyone made a Dick and Jane book out of this yet?

Succession is less clear cut when we speak of the VP

Amendment XXV
Section 2

[Vacancy in office of vice president.]

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

With the President it goes: 1) VP - 2) Speaker of house - 3) President pro tempore of the Senate (senior member of majority party) - 4) Then Secertary of State

thanks for the clarification edgewood...

I'm thinking Chimp (uh, oh...they're tapping wires and stuff now, I better call him King George) would nominate Condi indeed...

Blogger of the Week award goes to whoever posts a copy or link to the inevitable song "Cheney's Got a Gun."

Here's "Cheney's Got A Gun" complete with cheasy animation.

Well, that's actually the original "Janie's Got a Gun" by Aerosmith. I'm looking for a whole new song.
