Duluth Celebrity Encounters
I miss George Kessler, I saw him on Superior St once. I believe I shouted to my friend "Look! It's George!" and then I waved like a fuckwit. I never know quite what to say to people I admire when I see them doing normal everyday things. Do you walk up to them, is it okay to just say "Yo Georgie what's goin' on?" And another thing, who the hell prefers that cocky Paul over George anyway?I once saw Mark Lindquist on the 8th st bus. I didn't say anything to him. We both went into the Fetus (is it weird that I knew he worked there? (Still works there?)). I think it probably would have been weird if I turned around on the bus and said "Hey... you're Mark Lindquist right? You're... uh, pretty funny. Um, yep."
Our very own Paul Lundgren lives next door to my friend. Sometimes when we walk down the hall I point at his door and go "That's where Paul Lundgren lives," and I feel very proud for knowing that. Once his couch was out in the hall (according to my friend he was trying to give it away) and I was going to take it so I could tell people I owned Paul Lundgren's couch, it that weird? But I don't have a car so how was I going to get it to my house, drag it up 19th ave? I don't think so.
